Editorial standards

Editorial policy

The standards every Daily Cruncher article is held to before, during, and after publication.

Last updated: May 13, 2026

Originality

All articles on Daily Cruncher are original. We paraphrase information from third-party sources rather than reproducing copyrighted text. Direct quotations are clearly marked and attributed. Articles that re-package public-domain material (e.g., government data) are always rewritten and contextualized for our reader.

Sourcing

We cite reputable primary or expert sources by name when we reference statistics, studies, or specialist claims. Where possible we link directly to the source so readers can verify the original. When research is evolving — medicine, finance, law — we frame statements as the current best understanding and date-stamp the article.

Fact-checking

Every article is reviewed by an editor before publication. We check that quoted statistics match their sources, that any product claim has been independently verified, and that recommendations are realistic for the audience we’re writing for. If a claim cannot be supported, it is removed.

AI-assisted drafting

We use Anthropic’s Claude as part of our drafting workflow. AI-assisted drafts are reviewed by our editorial team and held to the same sourcing, originality, and accuracy standards as fully human-written drafts. We do not publish model output that has not been reviewed by a human editor. Headlines, structural decisions, and the angle of every article are determined by our editors, not the model.

YMYL topics — health, money, legal

Articles touching on health, finance, or legal matters are written for general informational purposes only. They are not a substitute for individualized professional advice. We add a visible disclosure on these articles and recommend consulting a qualified professional. See our Disclaimer for details.

Sponsored content and affiliate links

We may publish sponsored articles or include affiliate links in the future. When we do, the relationship will be disclosed clearly at the top of the affected article (e.g., “Sponsored by …” or “This post contains affiliate links”). Sponsored placements are clearly labeled and never influence the editorial direction of non-sponsored articles.

Advertising

Display advertising (including Google AdSense and similar networks) may appear alongside our articles. Advertising is sold and served separately from editorial — advertisers do not receive review, approval, or pre-publication access to non-sponsored articles.

Corrections and updates

When we discover a material error, we update the article and add a dated correction note at the bottom describing what changed and when. For non-material changes (typos, formatting), we update silently. To flag an issue, email webmaster@dailycruncher.com or use our contact form.

Plagiarism and copyright

We do not tolerate plagiarism. If you believe an article on Daily Cruncher has reproduced your work without permission, please email webmaster@dailycruncher.com with a link to the original work and the article in question. We respond to verified DMCA notices within seven business days.
